------------------------------------------------------------

Scottish Fiction Records are proud to present a new split AA-side from regulars Mt. Doubt and label debutants Acrylic.

With their latest releases, Edinburgh's Mt. Doubt have refined their brand cascading dark-pop.

New single Mouthwash is a slight departure from the haunting, emotional alt-rock of the band's last EP. The single juxtaposes moments of Mt. Doubt at their most direct and approachable, with disconcerting phases and a disarming yet irresistible backing section.

On the other half of this AA single, Glasgow's Acrylic have pulled out all the stops with their first single in a year and a half to make Where I Lie the most complete track in their catalogue of atmospheric alt-rock.

The band find darkness in against the relative light of side one, navigating side two's grooves with Where I Lie's cavernous howl. The track is spacious - the stuff of night-time wanders - and a Scottish cousin of The National's signature force.

The Mouthwash/Where I Lie split AA 7” will be released on 15th September 2017 via Scottish Fiction Records.
