about

False Bliss are a four-piece band from Edinburgh, formerly known as DTHPDL, featuring Alastair Chivers, Christopher Laidler, David Macdonald and John Muir.

Their debut album, 'Ritual Terrains', is released 5 April 2019 on cassette and digital download via Scottish Fiction..

The studio recording of 'Ritual Terrains' is an exploration of identity and uncertainty, dealing with subjects of deforestation, multiple personality disorder, immigration, acceptance, supernatural folklore, art and technology. Musically, the album is a cohesive work of shoegaze and noise guitars, pulsing synths, dreamy vocals and driving rhythms, working as a continuous piece of music or as individual tracks.
