about

Bonfire was originally intended to be a solo-acoustic meditation on loss and letting go. Naturally, attempts to add sparing instrumentation and subtle backing vocals ended up including arena drums, screaming guitars and a fearsome display of falsetto acrobatics from singer Jonny Watt, that probably dealt him approximately 150 cigars worth of vocal chord damage.

"As a parting antidote to the doom and gloom we usually enjoy inflicting upon audiences, we've taken to closing our set with this song for one final cathartic release."
